While the people of India and the world are keeping their eye on Sushant Singh Rajput's case development, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has finally broken his silence on the ongoing controversy.

It is for the first time the Union Home Minister Amit Shah has expressed his views on Sushant Singh Rajput's case. Responding to the accusations of using Sushant's name in Bihar Elections, Amit Shah said, "I don't know how much political issue Sushant Singh Rajput's case has become but if it is an election issue then we are not the reason of it. If they (Maharashtra State Government) had transferred the case to the CBI in the early days then it would not have been made an election agenda."

"Questions and suspicion were coming from day 1 after Sushant died. Then why did they hold on to it? It was not us who ordered CBI inquiry in Sushant's case but it was Supreme Court who transferred Sushant's case to the CBI. We think that whosoever dies mysteriously whether it is Sushant or someone else, the investigation must be done in a proper and neutral manner," added Amit Shah.

On being asked that whether he thinks the Mumbai Police closed the case too soon, Amit Shah said, "I don't want to comment on this as CBI is investigating into this matter and the perception the Maharashtra Government made that time it was not right."
