
The golden city of Amritsar has expanded its connectivity with new domestic and international routes. Under the present Punjab government, Shri Guru Ram Das Ji International Airport (Amritsar) continues enhancing its air network, providing travelers with direct flights to major cities in India and worldwide. With 12 airlines operating flights to 24 destinations, the airport has transformed into an important hub for domestic and international travel.
The city of Amritsar has direct connectivity to almost every corner of India, from the capital city of Delhi to the city of Kolkata in the west, from Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad in the south, to Jaipur in the east, and Kullu and other places in the north.
Reportedly, more flights between the route to the UK and Amritsar will be added soon. From March 30, 2025, Air India will increase flights to London, Gatwick, and Birmingham from three to four flights per week.
IndiGo is to launch new flights on the European routes connecting Manchester (UK) to India.
With these expanded domestic and international routes, Amritsar is developing into a major global aviation hub, offering travelers better connectivity and convenience.
