Team India veteran leg spinner Amit Mishra on Monday lambasted a female journalist accusing the government of taking action against poor 'scrap dealers' in the recent Jahangirpuri violence. The Jahangirpuri Violence erupted on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti when 'Sobha Yatra' of Hindus were attacked by a group of mob when it was passing through a Muslim-dominated area. Following the Jahangirpuri Violence, the Delhi Police arrested Ansar who was a scarp dealer and named him the prime accused in the case.

As a result, a journalist from Economic Times took to her Twitter handle and wrote, "The accused in Jahangirpuri violence are mostly scrap dealers or employees of small shops. The poor as usual at the receiving end as usual. Surely, they can't be the only one designing violence of this scale."

Seeing this, veteran cricketer Amit Mishra could not control himself and schooled the journalist over the lies she has been peddling. Mishra expressed his shock over the journalist's logic and asked whether she thinks that scrap dealers cannot commit crimes? "What’s this logic? Poor scrap dealers can’t commit crime? There is strong video evidence against them," wrote Amit Mishra.
Who is Ansar of Jahangirpuri Violence?

The Delhi District Court has sent Jahangirpuri resident Ansar to police custody along with another accused Mohammad Aslam in connection with the violence that took place on Saturday evening.  35-year-old Mohammad Ansar's father's name is Alauddin. His family lives in the B block of Jahangirpuri. Ansar was also born in this area. Ansar studied only till class 4 and does a scrap job.

Talking about Ansar's involvement in Jahangirpuri violence, when the procession reached Jama Masjid in C block around 6 pm, Ansar and 4-5 companions started arguing with the people taking out the procession there.  The matter escalated and stone-pelting started between the two sides. Due to this, there was a stampede in the procession.
