NCB finds discrepancies in Arjun Rampal's statements, no clean chit given

For the second time in a month, the Narcotics Control Bureau on Monday grilled model-turned-actor Arjun Rampal in the ongoing probe into the drugs nexus with Bollywood being probed by the central agency, officials said here.

Rampal, 47, was summoned last week, but he had written to the NCB seeking time till December 22, citing some 'personal' commitments.

Earlier, he was interrogated for nearly 7 hours on November 13 after the NCB raided his home and took away nearly a dozen electronic gadgets besides some (medical) tablets.

The second-round of interrogation with Arjun concluded on Monday and the NCB grilled the actor for more than seven hours. Going by various media reports, the NCB has not given any clean-chit to Arjun and he might be summoned again by the NCB.

NCB stated that it has found discrepancies in Arjun's statements and might call the actor again. The agency has found that the prescription submitted by Arjun was backdated and also evidence of sedative drug use has been found by the anti-drug agency.
