Ashneer Grover, the founder of BharatPe and a judge on Shark Tank India, spoke about his plans to enter politics in the future over the weekend.
Grover spoke on a variety of issues during an appearance on Rohan Joshi's popular YouTube channel. In response to a question regarding his plans for the future, Grover indicated his ambition to enter politics, citing his experience as a pioneer in the Indian economy as motivation.

"As startup founders, we all have become a significant part of the Indian economy, [but] at the political level, we are underrepresented," said Grover. "At some point in time, I want to get there [politics]."
Aside from representing a rising sector of the Indian economy that Grover helped establish, he also disclosed how he sees politics as a natural progression in his career.
"When you build a business, you generate certain employment and impact a certain number of people. And you can keep doing that, it's a very noble thing," said Grover.
"Eventually, this bigger impact at some point of time is by getting into nation-building, or doing something meaningful there," he added.

Grover has recently been embroiled in many public feuds, but he appears to be ready to move on and put the incident behind him. He indicated that his immediate concern was surviving life day by day, operating his house, and getting food to eat as he wrapped up his participation in the program.

Ashneer Grover, an entrepreneur, was the breakout star of Shark Tank India's first season, which just finished. Ashneer was one of the show's seven "sharks," or entrepreneurs, and his genuine approach and straightforward feedback to contestants earned him fans.

BharatPe's co-founder went from businessman to superstar in a flash. There is, however, a disadvantage to celebrity. Others have questioned his frank approach, believing he is overbearing.
