An incident took place in Amritsar’s Guru Nanak Dev University where five students were stabbed by an identified man. All this happened when the students tried to stop the man from molesting the girl going to her hostel. The man attacked them with a knife. The students got seriously injured in the incident. All of them have been admitted to the Amandeep Hospital.
The man ran away from the spot. A search operation was also conducted in the GNDU campus to find him but they didn’t get any success. All this happened during the night around 9:30 pm. The girl was going back to her hostel on the backside of the Law Department. Suddenly an unknown man started to molest the girl. The boys standing at some distance came for the rescue of the girl.

When the boys caught the man, he attacked them with a sharp knife. Three of the boys suffered major injuries, but all are in stable condition now. The police were informed about the incident at 11 in the night. There was no CCTV camera on the spot of the accident. The university administration told the police that the attacker was an outsider. The police checked all the footage of the exit points of the University.
The university students are also protesting. They are demanding strict action regarding the incident. Demand has been raised to arrest the young man at the earliest.
