Avoid deactivated FASTag on Jan 31 by doing THIS simple process

FASTag users beware as an important announcement has been made wherein your FASTag may be blocked today due to overlooking one simple issue. According to NHAI guidelines, FASTags without the proper KYC (Know Your Customer) process will be cancelled and blacklisted by the concerned banks on January 31. If this is not done promptly then problems might be faced.

 

The important thing to note is that you do not even need to go anywhere to recharge your FASTag as it can be done from the comfort of your own home. It can be updated thorugh NHAI’s online portal. FASTag will become active once the KYC details are updated. NHAI had said that even if the balance is complete, but if KYC is not done then FASTag will be deactivated by the banks after January 31, 2024.

 

KYC details can be update online on fastag.ihmcl.com. Under directions from NHAI, FASTags with incomplete details will be blacklisted. It is recommended to urgently address this issue to avoid facing problems on January 31.

 

Many options will be visible on the homepage here. A login option will appear. Here you have to enter your registered mobile number. If you do not know your password, you can also login with the help of an OTP. Here OTP will come on your mobile. Follow the directions as given on the site to complete the process. To update KYC, you will need a government ID, with the help of which it will be easy for you to update KYC.
