'Be senstive & avoid jungle raj', says Delhi's Deputy CM over oxygen supply to Centre Govt

India is facing a fear of oxygen shortage and the cases of coronavirus are increasing rapidly. People are dying because of the lack of medical oxygen in the hospitals of various states. 

Amid this fear, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia slammed the central government, on Tuesday. The deputy CM asked the government to be more sensitive and active in handling the situation of coronavirus, end the demand of supply of oxygen cylinder by all the states of the countries. 

Sisodia, who is also the nodal minister for COVID-19 management in the national capital said that he is getting calls from the hospital due to the demand for oxygen cylinders and he alleged that people involving in the supply of medical oxygen are being stopped in different states.

Manish Sisodia tweeted in Hindi, "Getting SOS calls from all hospitals. People involving in supplying the oxygen are being stopped in different states. To ensure that there is no 'jungle raj' among states over supply of oxygen, the Central Government should be very sensitive and active to handle the situation." 

Hospitals in Delhi are struggling because of depleting supply of oxygen of medical supply. 

On Monday, the city reported 240 coronavirus-related deaths, and the city has reported 823 deaths due to this deadly virus in a span of five days. 

On Monday, Delhi Chief Minister asked the Centre Government for the supply of oxygen cylinders, saying some hospitals are running out of oxygen in few hours. He had termed the shortage of oxygen for coronavirus patients as an 'emergency'. 

The Delhi Government of Monday had set up a 24-member committee to regulate the rational use of oxygen in the hospitals for the treatment of COVID patients.
