
Chandigarh, March 24: Punjab State Dear 100 Monthly Lotterychanged the life of a scrap dealer’s family overnight. Asha Rani, a housewifefrom Baghapurana, has won the 1st prize of Rs. one crore. The lucky winner onWednesday submitted the ticket and required documents to the State LotteriesDepartment here for encashment of the prize.
Expressing happiness over winning the first prize, Ashasaid, “I had never thought in my wildest dreams that one day I will become acrorepati. It's a dream come true for me and my family". She said that herhusband has a scrap shop at Baghapurana in Moga district and both her sons arealso working in the shop.
Talking about the future planning, Asha Rani (61) said thatfirst of all, they will build a new house with the prize money as the existinghouse is very congested for her big family and the remaining amount will beutilized for expansion of her family business. This bumper prize money will bea great help to tide over financial worries, she added.
An official spokesperson of the Punjab State LotteriesDepartment said that Asha Rani, the winner of ticket no- C-74263, has submittedthe documents today. The lotteries department officials assured the winner thatthe prize money will be credited to her account soon.
