The second week of May 2025, banks in India will remain closed for four days starting from May 9. Yes! You heard it right. A long weekend for banking officials is loading. Hence, those who still have pending financial work that is possible only by visiting the branch are advised to complete their work before May 9, 2025. (Bank Holidays in May 2025). In the second week of May 2025, banks will remain closed on May 9, May 10, May 11, and May 12. However, bank holidays on these dates will be dependent upon the region. Below is all you need to know-

4 days Bank Holidays in May 2025, second week

May 9- Banks will remain closed on Friday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. Bank holiday on this date is only limited to West Benhal and Kolkata.
May 10- Banks will remain closed in the entire India due to the Second Saturday.
May 11- Banks will remain closed in entire India as it is Sunday
May 12- Banks will also remain closed on Monday. The financial institutions will be closed on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. However, the bank holiday on Monday will be limited to these states/cities- Agartala, Aizwal, Belapur, Bhopal, Dehradun, Imphal, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, Srinagar
