Before the start of July 2025, the Reserve Bank of India calendar mentioned that there will be at least 13 bank holidays. The 13-day bank holidays in July 2025 include two Sundays and the Second, Fourth Saturdays. Notably, the 13-day bank holidays will not be back-to-back. Are banks in Punjab closed on July 5?

The answer is no. Banks in Punjab are not closed on July 5, i.e., Saturday. However, there is a bank holiday tomorrow in selected cities. As per the RBI's calendar, banks in Jammu and Srinagar will remain closed on July 5.
