Another incident of dog attacking a human came to fore. A pitbull dog attacked Gurpreet, a 13-year-old boy who was going with his father in Gurdaspur, Punjab. The father courageously fought the dog and rescued the son from its clutches. The dog bit the teenager's ear and also scratched the face with its paw. The teenager was admitted to the Civil Hospital in Batala. According to the doctor, a large part of Gurpreet's ear has been damaged due to the dog's bite.
Gurpreet's grandmother, Hardeep Kaur said that her grandson had gone to the farm with his father. When he was returning home with his father after getting the scooter repaired, on the way, Pitbull attacked him.

The teenager has been admitted to Batala's Civil Hospital in an injured condition. Dr. Gurpal Singh, who was treating Gurpreet there, said that there are dog claw marks at many places on the body of the teenager. A large part of the ear is cut off due to the dog bite. He also got a wound on his cheek. His treatment has been started. There is nothing dangerous.
