However, the entire development has landed in a massive controversy facing protests by Sikh Organizations and Behbal Kalan Pakka Morcha, who are not barricading buses going towards Salabatpura.

Moreover, people wanting to go back to their homes from the Sangat are also being denied. Police deployed at the front are trying to bring situations somehow under their control by negotiation.

The Salabatpura ashram of Bathinda came into controversy after 2010. In this ashram, Ram Rahim tried to mould himself into the incarnation of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and came among the Sangat. After this, the protest against him in the Sikh Sangat massively intensified.

On January 25, during the gathering held in Sirsa on Shah Satnam's birthday, followers coming from other states accused him of stopping him. On this, when Ram Rahim sought answers from the Dera management, he said that due to lack of space, followers from other states were prevented from coming to the Dera, after which Ram Rahim announced online Satsang in other Deras as well.

On the other hand, SGPC is preparing to go to the High Court against the parole of Dera Mukhi. SGPC Principal Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami says that Dera Mukhi has been given parole 4 times in 14 months, and still, he is being given parole time and again.

This time again Ram Rahim was seen cutting the cake with Kirpan. Due to this, the agitated Sikhs started to protest, SGPC is of the view that Ram Rahim is deliberately making such moves to provoke Sikhs.
