Rajkummar Rao’s reported wedding to hislong-time girlfriend Patralekhaa has become the talk of the town these days.There have been reports doing rounds that the couple, who has been dating forquite a long time now, is all set to tie the knot.
According to a report in ETimes, thecouple will have a very close-knit wedding ceremony with only selected guestsfrom film industry. "It is going to be a very close affair for RajkummarRao, 37, and Patralekhaa, 32. They have invited only select guests from thefilm industry," a source revealed.
The source added that Patralekhaa's familyhas already arrived at the wedding venue in Chandigarh while Rajkummar's familywill join them soon. "Rajkummar and Patralekhaa wanted to keep the weddingsmall and private due to Covid concerns. That's why they have a limited guestlist and have opted for Chandigarh.”
Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa have been in asteady relationship and have been vocal about their relationship on socialmedia and other platforms. They worked together for the first time in the 2014film ‘CityLights’.
Rajkummar had starred incritically-acclaimed films like Kai Po Che!, Shahid, Omerta, Aligarh and LoveSonia.
A friend close to the couple also revealedthat Rajkummar has planned a special gift for Patralekhaa, which will bepresented to her on their wedding day. Rajkummar had been writing lettersto Patralekhaa. Some of these were not given to her. He is planning to givethese letters as a wedding gift to her.
Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa have beentogether for more than 9 years now. In 2018, when Patralekhaa was asked abouther wedding plans, she had said that they have a lot to achieve yet and thereare no such plans for the next 6-7 years. Also, when filmmaker Karan Johar askedRajkummar Rao about his marriage plans, he said that they don’t have any familypressure and they both are focussing on their respective careers.
