Kerala is said to be the most literate state in India and one live example was filmed. When cops went to distribute food to a beggar, he urged cops to maintain social distance.  A heart-touching video of a beggar adhering to the social distancing norms when the Kerala police tried to help him has surfaced online. The incident was reported from Kozhikode in Kerala.

The video shows when the cops spot a beggar sleeping on the pavement, they ask him if he has eaten food. The man can be seen putting his hand on his stomach to indicate that he is hungry.

The cops leave the spot to bring back a food packet and a bottle of water. When one of the cops approaches the man with the food, he reacts with a sense of urgency and asks the cop to not come forward. He then gets up and draws a circle on the ground and gestures the cop to put the food and water there.

After the cop leaves the food packet and water bottle on the ground and moves backward, the man goes forward to take the items.
