Behbal Kalan firing: Why did AAP MLA Kunwar Vijay Pratap talk about giving his resignation?

MLA Kunwar Vijay Pratap said that despite the completion of 7 years of firing and sacrilege in Behbal Kalan, the struggle will continue to get the accused punished

7 years of  Behbalkalan and Kotkapura firing have been completed. Kunwar Vijay Pratap, an MLA for the Aam Aadmi Party, came especially to the Insaaf Morcha in Behbal Kalan on this occasion. Addressing the gathering, he informed about the investigation of the Bargadi case.

At this event, he addressed the Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan and asked him to permit him to speak on the issue of sacrilege in the assembly.

He said that he would resign as an MLA if even one aspect of the report he had written was incorrect. He further said that despite the completion of 7 years of firing and sacrilege in Behbal Kalan, the struggle will continue to get the accused punished.

Many big leaders of Sikh organizations including Simranjit Singh Mann, Lok Sabha member from Sangrur, and Amritpal Singh, President of Waras Punjab Organization were notably present in this gathering.

Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh also accused the Congress government led by former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on the issue of sacrilege. He said that the Badal family is mentioned everywhere in the report prepared by him in the case of sacrilege. In connection with this case, Sukhbir Singh Badal was summoned by the SIT under the leadership of Naunihal for questioning.

MLA Kunwar Vijay Pratap said that he had met the then Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for two hours on April 8 and asked him not to dismiss the Bargadi inquiry report. Captain Amarinder Singh sent him home with assurance, but the next day he rejected the investigation report. Vijay asked him to show him the fault of any one line in the report which has been rejected.
