The banking officials informed that since July 9 is not scheduled holiday as per the Reserve Bank of India, it is highly unlikely offices will remain closed. They also informed until or unless protesting bodies reach out to offices demanding closure, banks will remain open tomorrow.

Bharat Bandh tomorrow has received support from Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) and some opposition parties. Unions claim this is a nationwide movement, with participation expected from urban as well as rural India.
Trade unions allege the government is: Privatising public sector units will benefit corporates, weakening workers’ rights through the four new labour codes. Rural protests, marches, and public meetings are planned across villages. Some opposition political parties have also extended support.
