The much-awaited first part of Ayan Mukerji’s trilogy directorial Brahmastra starring Bollywood star couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt has got a big relief from Delhi High Court after the latter passed orders to ban 18 websites to ensure the film’s safety against piracy, before it hits the theaters on September 9th.

The decision from Delhi High Court came amidst its special screening and bans the unauthorized streaming.

Justice Jyoti Singh in the petition from the makers of Brahmastra in her interim judgment said the online availability of the film or piracy before or during film release imposes huge financial repercussions on the film and the makers and eventually diminishes its value.

The bench presiding on the matter further added, it is not sufficient to say that we must impose a ban on piracy rather there is a need to take stiff action on that front and there is the requirement to put fake website streaming or making online availability of the copyright content, into order.
