While the world is celebrating Valentine's Day 2023 on February 14, two youths have landed up in jail for saying 'I love you' to a minor girl in Darbhanga, Bihar. Yes! you heard it right. As per reports, two youths were recently arrested by the Bihar Police for eve-teasing a minor girl and saying 'I love you' when she was walking with her brother in the Darbhanga Raj campus during Valentine's week. As per reports, the two youths were riding a bike and tried to tease the girl by saying 'I love you'. The girl did not take 'I love you' well and informed about this to her parents and relatives. As a result, the youths were beaten by the girl's family and after chaos break out, the Police arrived at the spot arresting the two youths.
As per reports, the Police stated that both the accused were drunk at the time of the incident. A case was registered against them under relevant sections and then after being produced in the court, they were sent to jail. According to the information, the minor girl was walking with her brother in the Darbhanga Raj campus of the University police station area. The girl's father was present nearby and was teaching the girl's mother to ride a scooty. Meanwhile, two bike-riding youths came and tried to flee from the spot after saying I loveyou to the minor girl. The brother of the minor girl heard them. He shouted loudly and called his mother and father and told them the whole thing.
After this incident, the youths yet again approached the girl who was with her family. Seeing this, the father and mother of the minor girl caught the boys riding the bike and started beating them. Seeing the family beating the youths, other people around gathered and also started beating them. Later, the information about the incident was given to the University Police Station. As soon as the information was received, ASI Sanjay Kumar Jha of the University Police Station along with other policemen reached the spot and took both the accused into custody. ASI Sanjay Kumar Jha was quoted by a news portal who informed that the arrested accused boys have been identified as Rajkumar and Basant Kumar. As per the Police, the youths were drunk when they were caught teasing a minor girl.
It is pertinent to mention here that the victim's family has not filed a complaint in the case. The Police stated that they registered a case of drunk driving and produced the accused in court. Then after the order of the court, they have been sent to jail.
