In an utterly shocking incident, BJP National Spokesperson RP Singh on Wednesday shared a video in which a cop was seen luring Sikhs to convert to Christianity. RP Singh took to his official X handle and slammed the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) by sharing the video of a cop involved in converting Sikhs to Christianity. As per RP Singh, a Punjab Police officer was practicing the Christian religion on the premises of Shri Darbar Sahib Amritsar while wearing a uniform and turban. The BJP leader further informed that the Punjab cop is also a church pastor in Village Mahal, Amritsar. Ultimately, RP Singh urged the SGPC to look into the matter and take strict action against the religious conversion of Sikhs starting with the cop who was seen performing a religious act donning a turban.
It is pertinent to mention here that True Scoop News cannot confirm that the man donning a Police uniform along with a turban is actually from the Punjab Police. True Scoop News tried to dig about the cop in question but there is no confirmation as of now.
RP Singh on his Twitter handle wrote, "It seems @SGPCAmritsar President lives in a la la land, if Punjab Police officer, was alleged practicing the Christian religion on the premises of Shri Darbar Sahib Amritsar while wearing a uniform and turban. The person is supposed to be a pastor of a church in Village Mahal, Amritsar. My question is why @sgoc scared of going all out against Christian conversion, is it under the pressure of @officeofssbadal, as Christian are 20% of the Punjab population and they matter in electoral battle & shall we take it as a foregone battle and wait for when Christians will take over our institutions & gurudwaras."

Sikhs converting to Christianity
Notably, Former Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh during Operation Bluestar anniversary anniversary had flagged his worry over the religious conversion and also urged Sikhs to not fall prey. Hinting indirectly towards the trend of conversion to Christianity, especially in rural belts, Giani Harpreet Singh had said that the need of the hour was to maintain unity among the Sikh community. “I appeal to all Sikh missionaries, Sant Samaj, Damdami Taksal and other organisations to shun their differences, come on one platform and preach Sikhism jointly, especially in remote rural areas where the Sikhs felt dejected. We have to take the ‘patits’ back to the Sikh fold."
