BJP's conspiracy to defame farmers' protest: Viral photos show top party brass with Nihang chief

Nihangs of Baba Aman Singh's group have claimed responsibility for Lakhbir Singh's murder at the farmers' protest site.

Days after the brutal killing of Lakhbir Singh at farmers protesting site- Delhi-Singhu border, some photos of top BJP leaders with Nihang chief are going viral on social media. Nihangs, Sikh warriors have confessed the murder of 32 year old Dalit man over the alleged desecration of Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh Holy Book.


In one viral photo, BJP leader and Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar can be seen presenting ‘Siropa’ to one of the heads of the Nihang Jathebandis, Baba 

Aman Singh who is also camping at the Singhu border with thousands of farm protestors.

Other photos feature Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Kailash Chaudhary and other BJP leaders. These photos are of Kailash Chaudhary's residence in July 2021.

Talking about the viral photos, Samyukt Kisan Morcha has released a controversial statement. The farm union leader Rajinder Singh Deepsinhwala believes that the murder of Lakhbir Singh’s murder is a conspiracy of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party to defame the farmers’ protest.

‘The photos of a meeting between Baba Aman Singh and BJP leaders suggest that dirty politics is being played,” claimed the farm leader.

National Secretary of BJP Kisan Cell of Ludhiana- Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal and Inspector who has been sacked from Punjab Police could be seen attending the meeting in viral photos.

The photo of Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Nihang Baba Aman Singh was shared by the SKM on Tuesday. Notably, Sarabjit Singh, Narayan Singh, Bhagwant Sing and Govindpreet, the four Nihangas who surrendered over the killing of Lakhbir Singh near the Singhu border, are all members of Baba Aman Singh's group.

Meanwhile, the opposition is backing this claim of farm union.

Congress leader Sunil Jakhar today tweeted, “Man is known by the company he keeps”. Modi govt dealing through shady characters! Thus, the proclaimed nationalists are not just demeaning themselves but also the institution of Government of India.”

"There’s a far simpler way to resolve the issue of farmer agitation rather than cooking up some 'sinister scheme'. My advice to GOI, if I may, Just withdraw the black farm laws" said Jakhar in another tweet.


Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa also said that there appeared to be a deep rooted conspiracy to malign the farmers’ stir.

Referring to the recent incident of lynching of a Dalit labourer from Tarn Taran, and the latest disclosures in media, the Deputy Chief Minister, who also heads the Home Department, promised complete justice saying the government will reach the bottom of the case and identify and expose as who were the conspirators behind the incident.
