A powerful blast rocked a home in Ludhiana’s Model Town area late in the evening, leaving three people injured, including a 4-year-old child. The injured have been identified as Bhavan Kalra, the young child, and two women who work as domestic help in the household. All three were immediately rushed to Deep Hospital, where the child’s condition is reported to be critical.

The incident occurred in D-Block of Model Town, where Bhavan Kalra was at home with the two women. The blast was so intense that it attracted the immediate attention of neighbors, who rushed to the site to assist.

Child Referred to Delhi for Treatment
While the two women are receiving treatment in Ludhiana, Bhavan Kalra’s condition has deteriorated, and he is being referred to a specialized hospital in Delhi for further care. Medical authorities have expressed grave concern about the child’s critical condition.

Cause of the Blast Remains Unclear
Sunny Kalra, the child’s father, informed police that he is unaware of the cause of the explosion. Police officers, led by SHO Avneet Kaur from the Model Town police station, have launched an investigation into the incident. “We are recording statements from the family, and an examination of the house is ongoing. However, the cause of the blast remains unknown at this time,” Kaur said.

Authorities are considering possibilities such as a gas leak or electrical fault, but no official confirmation has been made. The investigation continues as police work to determine the cause behind the explosion. Further updates are expected as the inquiry progresses.
