Withan aim to cover all eligible beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat- Sarbat SehatBima Yojna, District Administration is all set to hold block level camps onMarch 1, and 3 across the district.

Divulgingthe details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that two special campswould be held in each development block and all the BDPOs have been asked tomake elaborate arrangements for the camps. He said that the game-changer socialsecurity scheme aims at extending the benefit of cashless treatment worth Rs.5lakh in top-class empanelled private hospitals. He further addedthat two campsin the development blocks Adampur, Bhogpur, Jalandhar West,Jalandhar East,Lohian, Nakodar, Noormahal, Mehatpur, Phillaur, Rurkan Kalan, and Shahkot wouldbe held on March 1 and 3, 2021, where on-spot E-cards would be issued to theeligible beneficiaries.

Sharinganother development about the camps, the deputy commissioner said that the SewaKendras shall remain open on February 28(Sunday) to facilitate the people withE-cards generation services under the scheme.

Thedeputy commissioner reiterated his commitment to bringing all eligiblebeneficiaries within the ambit of this scheme besides directing all the SubDivisional Magistrates (SDMs)to ensure that no beneficiary left without theE-card in the district. He also asked SDMs to further accelerate the pace ofthe E-cards generation process in their jurisdiction by personally monitoringthe camps and sharing their daily feedback with him.

Mr.Thori mentioned that as of now a total of 368720 beneficiaries have beenenrolled under the scheme adding as many as 50 special camps being held by theCSCs, Sewa Kendras and nodal agencies where about 4500 E-cards are generateddaily. He said that under the scheme 13 government hospitals and 57 privatehospitals have been empanelled in the district and the list of empanelledhealthcare institutions could be viewed at www.sha.punjab.gov.i . The deputycommissioner said that the scheme offers 1579 health packages of which180packages are reserved for the government hospitals and 25 of them can bereferred into private hospitals. Mr. Thori mentioned that Chief MinisterCaptain Amarinder Singh led state government while extending the scheme’ amidhas brought J form holders farmers, registered journalists, constructionworkers, small traders under its umbrella.
