In a sad development, the Indian-origin Sikh family kidnapped in the US state of California was found dead on Thursday. The four-member Sikh family including an eight-month-old child was abducted earlier this week at a business in Merced County, California. The abducted Sikh family were originally from Harsi Pind in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke in an address said that the bodies of 36-year-old Jasdeep Singh, 27-year-old Jasleen Kaur, their eight-month-old child Aroohi Dheri and the baby's uncle, 39-year-old Amandeep Singh were found on Wednesday evening in an orchard near Indiana Road & Hutchinson Road. As per the authorities, the three members of the family were shot dead, while the 8-month-child died due to starvation. Now, the CCTV footage is going viral on social media. As soon as the authorities confirmed their deaths, the California Sikh family kidnapping video started doing rounds on social media.

The suspect can be seen carrying a trash bag and entering into the building. Interestingly, when the suspect was entering he stopped for a bit to see if anyone else was present in the nearby area or not. Then, the suspect drops the trash bag and takes out his gun, and enters the building. The video then jumps to the backdoor of the building where it is visible that the family members are zip-tied and came out at gunpoint. The video further shows Jasleen carrying Arohi coming out of the building at the gunpoint.

Earlier, it was reported that an Indian-origin family of four, including an eight-month-old child, were kidnapped in the US state of California and the police had warned the suspect was armed and considered dangerous. The family members were identified as eight-month-old Aroohi Dheri, her mother Jasleen Kaur (27), her father Jasdeep Singh (36), and her uncle Amandeep Singh (39). Notably, a 48-year-old man considered a 'person of interest' named Jesus Manuel Salgado in the kidnapping of a four-member Sikh family, including an 8-month-old child, in the US state of California was taken into custody. The person in custody reportedly was in critical condition after he tried to kill himself.

A vehicle owned by one of the family members was found on fire late Monday, which led law enforcement to determine that the four had been kidnapped. According to a news release, detectives received information on Tuesday morning that one of the victim’s bank cards was used at an ATM in Atwater in Merced County.
