Brazilian model & social media influencer Caroline Werner has lashed out at her country's constitution after she was arrested by the cops for spreading indecency. Caroline Werner went for a walk with her pet dogs topless and she was filmed by the commuters present there. As a result, Caroline Werner 37, was arrested in May after police stopped her for being outside bare-breasted while walking across the street from the beach in Balneário Camboriú, a coastal city in the south of Brazil. In an interview with a Brazilian outlet, Caroline Werner pointed that a man can roam on the streets and by the beaches shirtless, however, when she did the same thing she was arrested. Caroline said, "Unfortunately in my country, even though the Constitution ensures gender equality, in practice this does not happen, I cannot have the same freedom and I feel coerced into doing so by this system and the repressive interpretation of the law...What should be natural for both genders ends up being denied to one of them in an arbitrary and repressive manner."
After being arrested, Caroline Werner revealed that several officers loaded her into a van and took her to a police station where she was given a blouse to cover herself.
Apart from being a model & influencer, Caroline Werner is a businesswoman who also has her own bikini line. As per Caroline Werner, she has traveled all over the world and has not had any issues being topless but was appalled she was detained in the South American country.
It is pertinent to mention here that Caroline Werner is now facing three months to one year jail time in Brazil. As per US media report, article 233 of the Penal Code in Brazil describes the charge as 'performing an obscene act in a public place, either open or exposed to the public,' however the law does not define what an 'obscene act' is.
