In a horrifying incident, a doctor couple travelling in their vehicle were stopped and shot dead by two unknown men on Friday. The victims were identified as Dr. Sudeep Gupta and his wife Dr. Seema Gupta.The crime took place in broad daylight in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The incident was caught on camera and has sparked a huge outrage regarding the law and order in the state.
In the CCTV footage, the two assailants can be seen stopping couple’s car by driving their motorcycle in front of the vehicle. The two bikers approached Dr. Gupta. Assuming they wantto talk to him, Dr. Gupta is seen rolling down the window. One of the men with face covered with a pink cloth looks inside the car after which he shot Sudeep Gupta at his head and fired multiple bullets at Semma Gupta. Bothof them collapsed after getting shot.

The identity of the killers and their motive to kill the couple is not known yet. However, police are investigating a connection between a 2019 murder, committed by Dr. Seema Gupta and hermother-in-law in which Dr. Sudeep was also suspected to be involved.
In 2019, a 25-years-old woman Deepa Gurjar and her six years old son were burnt to death in a house owned by doctor. Deepa was a receptionist at Dr. Sudeep Gupta’s clinic but was firedfrom the job after Dr. Seema Gupta suspected an illicit affair between her and Sudeep.
After that Dr. Sudeep helped Deepa in setting up a beauty parlor. He let her stay in his villa that was on Seema’s name without his wife’s notice. However, Seema got to knowabout Deepa staying in the villa and was infuriated. She along with her mother in law arrived villa and after a brief scuffle, Seema had poured a highly flammable liquid on Deepa and her son and set them on fire.
Initially, Seema and her mother-in-law were arrested for the mother. But, later police had suspected that Sudeep was also involved.
