In a horrific incident, three members of a family were killed after their car got hit by a truck. The visuals of the incident were captured by the rear camera of another truck have gone viral.
Reportedly, a container truck lost control on the Mumbai Pune Expressway in Maharashtra on Thursday. The video that went viral, showed the Hyundai i10 getting caught between the two big vehicles and being run over.
Following the tragic incident, the car caught fire and a patrol team of the Highway Police team reached the spot. In the spine-chilling accident, three occupants of the car died on the spot, including a four year old boy. Meanwhile, the driver was critically injured. He was later rescued from the burning vehicle by a patrol team and hospitalized.

Unfortunately, such accidents are not rare on the roads of India. As per government data, about 1.5 lakh people lost their lives in road accidents in the last one year across India.
India reports the highest number of road accidents across the world. Every year, globally, around 4.5 lakh people being disabled, resulting in losses accounting for up to 3.14 percent of the GDP.
