CBSE Class 10th result OUT, pass percentage touched new heights, 99.04% students declared pass

The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the result of class 10th board exams 2021.

On Tuesday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the class 10th board exam result 2021. The students can check their scores by the official websites of the board – cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.nic.in. Other official websites like Digilocker and UMANG would also host the result of Class 10th. 

Today, more than 20 lakh students would check their results. Because of the heavy traffic, the website of CBSE was crashed. In such cases, students can check their results via alternative methods like – student may go to Digilocker.gov.in or may check the results by downloading of the two applications – Digilocker or UMANG app.

Students can also check their results through SMS. Students need to send Class10 <their roll number> to 7738299899. 

This year, because of the Covid-19 pandemic the board exams of class 10th were canceled therefore alternative marking scheme was used by the board. The results have been prepared according to the students’ performance in internal assessments, periodic tests, half-yearly exams and pre-board examinations. 

This is the first time that class 10th board result has been declared without exam, therefore it was expected that the passing percentage may go high. This year, 99.04 percent of students have passed the Class 10th which is eight percentage points more than the previous year’s percentage. 

Last year, 18,85,885 students appeared for the class 10th examination and out of the total 17,13,121 students were declared pass with a pass percentage of 91.46 percent.

CBSE Class 10th result: What a student should check in the marks sheet?

Students must ensure that the marks sheet uploaded by the board is error-free. He/ She must check the following:

  • Spellings
  • Personal details
  • Calculations
  • Pass/ Fail status
