The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the revised syllabus for CBSE class 10th and class 12th board exams. This revised syllabus is based on a new assessment policy by the CBSE, which was announced by the board earlier this week.

Due to the new policy, this year the board would conduct board exams twice a year. 50 percent of the syllabus would be covered in Term-I and the rest 50 percent would be covered in Term-II.

The new syllabus is issued by the board due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the educational system as schools and other educational institutes are shut. According to the new policy, the board has reduced the syllabus and has divided the board exams into two Terms – Term 1 and Term 2. The board has further emphasized on the practical exams, 20 percent of the marks would be given to the project works made by students.
