The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to announce the Class 10 and Class 12 results for 2025 today. While the time and date for the official release have not yet been made known, past practices suggest that traditionally, the results were released in mid-May. Students will be able to view the results after the announcement on the following official websites: cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in . The board has requested students not to believe in rumors and only trust official sources. Alternatively, students can also access their CBSE board result through the DigiLocker app or website – website— digilocker.gov.in.
CBSE Result 2025 mark sheets can be accessed via login credentials such as the roll number of the examinee, admit card number, school code, and date of birth.
From the 2024-25 academic year, CBSE has introduced a relative grading system to reduce academic pressure and unhealthy competition.
In contrast to the earlier system, which ranked based on fixed ranges of marks (A1: 91-100, A2: 81-90), the new system ranks students against others. Grades are determined by how a student performs relative to a group, which may vary by subject based on the number of students who pass.
This year, more than 42 lakh students appeared for the board examinations conducted from February 15 to April 4. Class 10 exams concluded on March 18, and Class 12 exams concluded on April 4.
22,38,827 candidates appeared for Class 10 examinations in 2024, out of which 20,95,467 cleared, which translates into a pass rate of 93.60%. In Class 12, there were 1,621,224 candidates, and 1,426,420 cleared the exam, which stands at a pass rate of 87.98%.
