A petrol station in Nakodar was robbed at gunpoint by a trio of criminals yesterday evening. The robbers left with about Rs 2 lakhs in cash from the petrol pump in Nakodar under Jalandhar district in Punjab. The entire robbery was caught on CCTV footage. The robbers were armed and threatened the staff into giving up their wages. The robbers committed the robbery when the pump staff was sitting in the office at night and calculating the day's sales at around 7 PM.

This entire incident of robbery has also been captured in the CCTV cameras installed there. The robbers, who had their faces wrapped with cloth, were armed with sharp-edged weapons as well as firearms. Apart from the cash kept on the table for counting, the robbers also took the cash which was in the drawers or in the pockets of the employees. The staff was compliant with the robbers and handed them the money, making the job a walk in the park for the robbers.

It is also clear in the CCTV footage that the robbers easily took the money that came into the office and escaped from the spot with great ease. Even when one robber was left alone inside, he casually searched the drawer, took out the cash and put it in his pocket. The police have started investigation but are suspicious of the developments after reviewing the contents of CCTV footage. This is due to the fact that there was barely any resistance seen from the staff in the footage.
