Shocking the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), which broke away from the BJP a few months back, the central government has withdrawn the Z-category security of senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia. After a letter sent from the Center, the Punjab government has now decided to review the security of Majithia to decide what kind of protection should be provided to them. Meanwhile, the SAD has called the central government's decision an act of political vendetta.

Majithia was provided with Z-category security from the central government at the request of the Akali-BJP coalition government in Punjab. Majithia was constantly threatened by gangsters and the chaotic elements hidden abroad.

Under this protection, Majithia was provided with 30-40 CISF personnel and two escort vehicles.

However, this withdrawal of security indicates that this is just the beginning of a new political fight between the BJP and its former ally SAD. It is being speculated that after the recent interrogation of Punjab Chief Minister's son Raninder Singh, the files of SAD leader might be opened again by the central investigative agencies.

BJP and SAD will soon be locking horns in the Chandigarh Municipal Elections. It will be the first time after more than 2 decades that the BJP and SAD will contest against each other at the municipal elections. It is said that Majethiya and alliance with SAD were among the key reasons why Navjot Singh Sidhu left the BJP and later joined Congress.

The BJP is expected to do aggressive politics due to the ongoing protest against the newly formed farmer's law by the Modi government. Over four dozen BJP leaders at including state and district level office bearers joined its ex-ally Shiromani Akali Dal on Wednesday.

Recently, SAD leaders also raised questions on the BJP and alleged the Modi Government of hacking the EVM in Bihar Elections. Recently,  Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has called for an anti-BJP meeting of leaders and parties across the country to handle the Modi-government on a national level. Interestingly, an invitation for the closed-door meeting has been sent to NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, Trinamool's Mamata Banerjee, JDS chief Kumaraswamy, Samajwadi party chief Akhilesh Yadav, BSP supremo Mayawati, Shiromani Akali Dal's Prakash Singh Badal, BJD's Naveen Patnaik, and DMK's Stalin.

Prakash Singh Badal has already expressed his interest to form an alliance anti congress and anti-BJP which will compete with them on a national basis politically. Reports also state that  KCR has personally called Prakash Singh Badal as he is one of the biggest and senior-most leaders of India.
