Centre Govt releases new SOP for preventing covid spread in rural areas

Coronavirus has made life difficult to survive. It started in China and now it's all over the world giving its worse effect on human. In India the situation is getting worse as the coronavirus is now entering in villages and towns which will affect more number of people.

Village-level observation, tele-consultation with community health officers, and training in rapid antigen testing are among the several areas of focus in the Centre's new SOPs to battle COVID-19 as the pandemic gradually moves to the semi-urban and rural areas of the country.

Centers-new SOP suggest that there should be proper management and precautions to be taken so that it doesn't distributes in the rural areas community. Health based service and Primary Health centres are equipped to take the responsibility and ensure that the virus is not spreading all over the country and in that areas too.

The guideline says that there should be be proper strategy to be followed in the villages for the surveillance of influenza like swear acute respiratory problems, illness with the help of village Health sanitization nutrition committee.

If people at villages have some symptoms of covid virus then it should be treated at rural area hospitals but if there is need of oxygen cylinders then they should consult the doctors at big centres.

Checking oxygen level is equally important as checking the the rest of the body during the the testing time. For this every Hospital in the rural area should have oximeters and thermometer available, SOP mentioned.

If a person is home isolated he or she should be provided with home isolation kit which should contain Paracetamol, ivermectin, cough syrup, and a pamphlet in which all the precaution should be written so that a covid patient can follow all the the protocols at home, a proforma to monitor patient health and also the contact number if the condition gets worse.

The guidelines also says that, if the patient is isolated then he should be Quarantine for at least 10 days and will only be allowed to go out if he or she has not got fever at least for 3 days. There is no need of testing after home isolation.
