The Union Health Ministry announced on Saturday that over 1.29 billion Coronavirus vaccine doses have been distributed to states and union territories through a free-of-charge channel and direct state procurement category.

The states and union territories still have more than 216.5 million balance and unutilized Covid-19 vaccine doses, according to the report.
