On Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi declared that his administration would not let any drug trafficker off the hook since the law will run its course in Majithia's case.

CM Channi, speaking to a large crowd at the Grain Market, reaffirmed his government's determination to thoroughly remove the drug threat, while also stating that there was no political revenge in Majithia's case. He also declared Rs 5 crores for the general development of Gidderbaha and the upgrade of Doda Hospital, as well as the laying of the foundation stones for the Gidderbaha Bus Stand and PRTC Sub-Depot.

CM Channi also committed to build a monument in honor of all the farmers who died fighting the three black farm laws.

CM Channi slammed AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and MP Bhagwant Mann for deleting his comments on Majithia's role in the drug trade while issuing a formal apology to Bikram Majithia, saying that now it's time for AAP leaders to apologize to the Punjab people.

“See the kind of politics AAP is doing, they apologized to a person who was facing the heat of drug accusations in pushing our youth to drugs” , quoted Channi. CM Channi went on to say that his administration would not let the perpetrators of the horrific acts of sacrilege form the clutches of the law.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa claimed that the Channi-led administration is gradually regaining people's faith in governance, which had reached an all-time low owing to misrule and extreme inefficiency under the regimes of Badal and Captain Amarinder Singh.

In addition, the Deputy Chief Minister allocated Rs. 14.5 crores for the upgrade of a cattle-feed facility in Gidderbaha.

Local MLA and Transport Minister Amarinder Singh Raja Warring expressed his displeasure with the Badals and their transport firm in a public address.

“The reign of terror unleashed by Badals have been suppressed to a considerable extent in the region and it would be vanished for times to come provided Congress is given another chance to serve the people of state.”, Warring said.

He expressed his thanks to the people of his constituency for turning up in such great numbers, and he thanked the CM and Deputy CM for promising to provide cash.

Deputy Speaker Ajaib Singh Bhatti, MP Faridkot Mohammad Sadique, MLA Zira-Kulbeer Zira, Amrita Warring, District Congress President Harcharan Brar, Chairman Zila Parishad Narinder Kauni, former MLA Karan Brar, Jagpal Aulakh, Fateh Badal, and Sidhu Musewala were among those who spoke at the event.

SSP Sarabjit Singh and Deputy Commissioner Sri Muktsar Sahib Harpreet Sudan were also present at the event.
