China claims Arunachal Pradesh as a part of south Tibet; destroys 30,000 maps

The customs department of China has reportedly destroyed over 30,000 world maps in which Arunachal Pradesh and Taiwan are not shown as a part of China. These maps had been printed in China only to which the customs department has claimed Arunachal Pradesh to be a part of south Tibet. These maps were reportedly to be exported to some country.

China has also objected upon the Indian leaders' visit in those areas. The country had earlier criticized the visit of Dalai Lama to Arunachal Pradesh as well. Dalai Lama had changed the names of 9 places in that region.

The 3488 km long Line-Of-Control (LoC) along Arunachal has been disputed since years between India and China. Both countries have had bilateral discussions over the issue for 21 times but the issue hasn't been resolved as of now.

Along with Arunachal Pradesh, China doesn't legitimize Taiwan as a sovereign country and considers the island country to be a part of China. However, Taiwan has raised its voice on the global stage for its sovereignty.
Lee Wenzang, a professor of the international law in China Foreign Affairs University said thar it is a right step to destroy those maps as Taiwan and south Tibet are a part of China.
