China has received a major setback on Friday after its Sukhoi fighter jet (Su-35) plane has reportedly crashed in Taiwan's airspace. The video of the fighter jet, which has been brought down is doing rounds on the internet. It can be seen in the video that the jet has crashed in an open area near a country-side residential area. 

However, no reports are out yet on how the jet crashed. It is being speculated that the Taiwanese military has attacked it after the jet entered their airspace. 

Russia built Sukhoi jets was first brought to China in 1991. China has been constantly using provocative moves around the Indian border and with other neighboring countries.  Earlier this week, media reports also said that China had deployed its J-20 stealth fighter to the Hotan airbase in Tibet.

This information was also shared by the BJP leader Subramanian Swamy who has tweeted that China was moving large numbers of Russian Sukhoi fighter jets to the Tibet border.
