In a fresh attack on former CM Charanjit Singh Channi, Bhagwant Mann said, that wherever Channi is come and talk to him. He questioned Channi over the steps taken by him towards the end of the Chief Ministerial post.

In a widespread attack, the Chief Minister said that the opposition parties do not have any answer regarding the work being done by the government, so they are going out by raising slogans of ‘Murdabad’ after taking out the frivolous shortcomings in the work of the government.

Marking the move as unprecedented he went on to say it is for the first time that the assembly session has been extended till 3rd October.

Speaking at the event in Ferozepur CM Mann said that the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Award, which has been closed for 7 years, has been revived by him and the government will honor the efforts of those putting excellent work on display.

He said that the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Technical University at Ferozepur will be upgraded in order to ensure that youth from the area get the best technical education.

Mann in an attack on former CMs said, “In the last five years, not a single Chief Minister came to pay obeisance at Hussainiwala on the birthday of Bhagat Singh, while he had taken the oath of Chief Minister at Khatkadkalan on the occasion of Bhagat Singh's thinking and he also came on 23 March on Martyr's Day, and also on his birthday today. Mann said that the people got the right to vote because of Bhagat Singh.

He went on to say that Bhagat Singh’s persistence earned us the right to vote, and the British assumed the top government offices without granting us the right to choose our people.

On the matter pertaining to granting permanent authorization of posts to 8400 teachers and contractual employees, he said that we are consulting the legal aide on the matter. He said certain PILs registered in the courts around the state are also acting as a hindrance in the move granting permanent authorization to the teachers.

He assured through the gathering that soon his government will come up with a plan that will not just hand them the permanent appointment but rather will grant legal safety that will ensure that they must not have to take rounds of the courts after receiving their grant letter.

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that apart from launching the Verka Milk Plant made by him at a cost of 26 crores, he has also given appointment letters to 36 inspectors there.
