Famous Hindi poet and former leader of Aam Aadmi Party, Kumar Vishwas accused Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday. During an interview, Vishwas said that Kejriwal was a supporter of separatists in Punjab. This video of Kumar Vishwas went viral on social media. Following the explosive claims by Kumar Vishwas, Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi for an impartial enquiry in the matter of Kumar Vishwas’s video.

Demanding a fair investigation in this matter, CM Channi shared on his Twitter account, “As CM of Punjab, I request Hon'ble PM @narendramodi Ji to order an impartial enquiry in the matter of @DrKumarVishwas Ji’s video. Politics aside, people of Punjab have paid a heavy price while fighting separatism. Hon’ble PM needs to address the worry of every Punjabi.”

Kumar Vishwas, during an interview, said, “Punjab is not a state, it is an emotion. Punjabiyat is an emotion.”

Vishwas claimed that Kejriwal once told him the formula to become CM. He said that one day he will become CM or PM of an independent nation (Khalistan). He had no hesitation in taking help from separatists.

After this statement, Kumar Vishwas's video circulated on social media. However, Raghav Chadha, a member of the Aam Aadmi Party said that Vishwas's statement is baseless. He tweeted on this issue, “Kumar Vishwas through the means of forged and fabricated video with the devious intent to defame and deride Sh Arvind Kejriwal has been circulating/ publising the said videos.”
