Punjab Congress leader and Jalandhar Cantt MLA Pargat Singh on Monday took a dig at Punjab CM after the latter seeks an apology from the newly appointed Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) Chief Navjot Sidhu.

Notably, Punjab CM has denied holding any meetings with the cricketer turned politician until Sidhu publically issues an apology for leveling derogatory remarks against him through different mediums.

Pargat Singh, who is considered a close aide to Sidhu and is a part of rebellious leaders, while talking to a group of media persons said, “Punjab CM must apologize publically than Sidhu for not delivering promises made to contest the previous Assembly Elections of 2017”

Over the talks of Cabinet rejig, the MLA further added, “Each leader needs to work diligently as it’s a matter of state’s interest.”

“Punjab Congress must work collaboratively to strengthen the party.”

When asked if Navjot Sidhu will meet Punjab CM, Mr. Singh said, “This Navjot Sidhu can tell, whenever he comes you can ask him.”

Reverting to, “Should Capt Amarinder take a step to meet the new state unit’s Chief?” MLA Pargat Singh asserted, “CM can meet him, and must establish cordial relation among the members.”
