Punjab Congress leader and Jalandhar Cantt MLA PargatSingh on Monday took a dig at Punjab CM after the latter seeks an apology fromthe newly appointed Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) Chief NavjotSidhu.
Notably, Punjab CM has denied holding any meetings withthe cricketer turned politician until Sidhu publically issues an apology forleveling derogatory remarks against him through different mediums.
Pargat Singh, who is considered a close aide to Sidhuand is a part of rebellious leaders, while talking to a group of media personssaid, “Punjab CM must apologize publically than Sidhu for not deliveringpromises made to contest the previous Assembly Elections of 2017”
Over the talks of Cabinet rejig, the MLA further added, “Eachleader needs to work diligently as it’s a matter of state’s interest.”
“Punjab Congress must work collaboratively to strengthenthe party.”
When asked if Navjot Sidhu will meet Punjab CM, Mr. Singhsaid, “This Navjot Sidhu can tell, whenever he comes you can ask him.”
Reverting to, “Should Capt Amarinder take a step to meetthe new state unit’s Chief?” MLA Pargat Singh asserted, “CM can meet him, andmust establish cordial relation among the members.”
