Amid political drama at its peak, Punjab Congress leaders are once again seen gearing up for upcoming state assembly elections. With opposition AAP, SAD and Capt Amarinder-BJP alliance, ruling Congress chose the path of 'Punjab Seva'. Where CM Charanjit Channi was last night seen supervising the rescue operation for a cow trapped in a pit, PPCC head Navjot Sidhu, just a few days ago took a man injured in an accident to the hospital.

On Sunday (November 14), Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi was in Chamkaur Sahib to attend an event. However, while returning, he came to know about how a cow was trapped inside a massive pit.

CM's convoy then stopped and began with the rescue operation. During the operation, CM was seen instructing rescue workers and security personnel and supervising the entire project.

The cow was finally rescued after half an hour of effort.

A few days earlier Punjab party head Navjot Singh Sidhu was in news for helping a man injured in a road accident. On Wednesday (November 10), Sidhu was on his way to Patiala when he came across an accident. A young man was critically injured in a road accident. While nobody was helping, Sidhu stopped the convoy and offered help after which the man was taken to hospital.

The Punjab Congress head also expressed displeasure among the people for not helping the injured.

With Punjab assembly elections 2022 just two months away, the good works of Congress might help the party in retaining power. On the other hand, the infighting appears to have ended with CM Channi pacifying Sidhu by accepting APS Deol's resignation as Advocate General.
