The agitation of the farmers from Haryana and Punjab at the Singhu border, demanding the withdrawal of the newly passed farm laws by the Central government, entered its 12th day on Sunday. The protesting farmers reached the Singhu Border on November 26 and since then, the protest is growing each day. By Sunday, the protest site seemed to be a 'mini Pind' (village).

Though the number of protesting farmers is increasing day by day, no one is going hungry as many Langars are keeping the people full.

Many Bollywood, Punjabi actors, and singers expressed their opinions on the 'controversial' farm laws. While some came in support of the farmers few voiced their opinion in the favor of the newly passed farm laws.

However, a strange situation is being observed after the veteran singer from Punjab Daler Mehndi came in support of the farm laws. While his own brother Mika Singh supported farmers in the protest, Daler appealed to the farmers not to go by rumors.

In a video, Daler said, "Today is a big day for us, I am saying us because I am also a farmer. This is my farm’s mustard and wheat produce. I have been a farmer for 20 years, and have been growing all this in my farms. And have laid the seeds for carrot, radish, and sweet potato as well. It is my request to all to trust the agricultural bills passed by Modiji. Do not get influenced by rumors and other people’s opinions. So that we can go ahead as per our wish, there are no middlemen anymore."

Interestingly, his brother Mika Singh had supported the farmers protesting against the farm laws. He had also hit out at Kangana Ranaut over her now-deleted tweet where she stated that an elderly woman, a part of the movement, was ‘available for Rs 100’ to protest.
