Jalandhar Lok Sabha (LS) Candidate and former MP, BJP’s Sushil Kumar Rinku, shared a video on Social media, talking about the hostility of the farmers towards the Dalits. In the video, Rinku is saying that he had come to pay homage to Baba Sahib Bhim Rao Ambedkar Ji. During this, slogans of 'Murdabad' were raised by the farmers. He went on to say that, this is not an insult to him but to Baba Sahib and the Dalit brotherhood.
The video in question was shared by Sushil Kumar Rinku on his Facebook account. In the video Rinku said, “The way these people (farmers) are stopping me from paying obeisance to Baba Sahib today. While paying obeisance, they are raising slogans of Murdabad. This is an insult not only to me but to the entire Dalit brotherhood.”
Rinku said- “The entire Dalit brotherhood boycotts the farmers today. Farmers stopped us from paying obeisance to Baba Sahib today” He further went on to say that, “If I hold a political rally somewhere, you come and protest, I don't care, nor am I afraid of anything”
