Rare act of DC, catches culprit of hit and run by chasing him for more two kilometres

DC Vishesh Sarangal today caught a car driver trying to flee after hitting two scooter borne persons by chasing him over two kilometres.

Exhibiting a rare call of duty, the Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Vishesh Sarangal today caught a car driver trying to flee after hitting two scooter borne persons by chasing him over two kilometres.

At around 3:15 pm Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal was heading towards Balachaur from his official residence. As he approached Langroya he saw a Maruti swift desire car HR 38 AA 4731 hitting two scooter borne persons Madan Lal and Sohan Lal near a Petrol Pump. After hitting the persons the car driver fled up from the spot towards Langroya Sloh road. 

While some people were already attending the injured, the Deputy Commissioner then asked his driver to speed up the car and follow the Maruti Desire. Thereafter the Deputy Commissioner and security stopped the Swift car after chasing it for more than two kilometres. Deputy Commissioner immediately asked the Police to take necessary action against the driver of the car.

The Deputy Commissioner also asked the Medical staff at a local hospital to ensure quality treatment to the injured scooter borne persons. Meanwhile, when asked to comment on it Sarangal said that it is his moral duty to help the needy people. He said that as an administrative officer and a human being he is duty bound to help the people who faces any sort of problem. He said that one of the tyre of car was busted and driver was driving more rashly, so in order to avoid any further accident he needed to be caught.
