Seven-time Member of Parliament from Dadar and Nagar Haveli - Mohan Delkar's dead body was found at a hotel in Mumbai’s Marine Drive, Maharashtra today. Delkar’s body has been sent for postmortem and police suspects suicide behind the death. Police have reached the Sea Green Hotel at Marine Drive where Mohan Delkar allegedly committed suicide. An investigation has been launched regarding the case.
Mohan Delkar, 58, was an Independent Member of Parliament. He had left the Congress party ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha election.
In 2020, Mohan had joined hands with JDU for local polls in Dadar and Nagar Haveli after initiating a meeting with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. However, JDU support could not help Delkar to win the local elections and he lost to BJP in the union territories.
Mohan Delkar had visited Mumbai about some work, reported India Today TV.
