“Pakistan is a dear country”, says Saudi Prince; signs 20-bln-USD deals with Pakistan

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are working together to expand the economic partnership, particularly in tourism sector

Riyadh: Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud who is the Saudi Crown Prince on Sunday signed eight agreements worth 20 billion US dollars with Pakistan.

One of the agreements is about Saudi Arabia's Aramco-run refinery in the Pakistani port of Gwadar which is one of the world's largest refineries, at a value of 10 billion US dollars.

"Pakistan is a dear country to the Saudi people and we will be partners as we have always been", a Saudi-owned television news channel quoted the Prince as saying. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are working together to expand the economic partnership, particularly in tourism sector.

The Saudi crown prince is currently on a two-day official visit to Pakistan, the first leg of his Asian tour which started on Sunday. He is scheduled to visit China and India later.
