In a shocking development, a Delhi Police personnel was filmed kicking men offering Namaz on Friday. The shocking incident took place on Friday in Delhi's Inderlok when people were in their Sajda offering Namaz on the streets of Inderlok. In order to clear the traffic, the Delhi cop tried to remove the people forcefully. However, the Delhi Police officer took things too far when he kicked a man who was in Sajda.
As the video went viral inviting criticism for the Delhi Police, DCP North Manoj Meena was quoted saying that an inquiry into the matter has been initiated and appropriate action will be taken. Congress leader Supriya Shrinate shared the viral video and wrote, "The motto of Amit Shah's Delhi Police is peace, service, justice...working diligently."
Finally, after a massive uproar, the Delhi Police officer has been suspended. As per Delhi Police's statement quoted by a newswire, "In the incident at Indelork today, the Police Post Incharge, who was seen in the video has been suspended with immediate effect. Necessary disciplinary action is also taken."
