Delhi Police takes Deep Sidhu to Red Fort as part of Republic Day violence probe, Re-create scene

How did violence happen during the tractor parade on 26 January? Delhi Police will re-create the scene at the Red Fort to investigate this. On Saturday, the Delhi Police, along with Deep Sidhu and Iqbal Singh, accused of inciting violence, went on the routes from where the miscreants had reached the Red Fort. Earlier, Deep Sidhu and Iqbal Singh were interrogated at the Crime Branch in Chanakyapuri for about an hour. Delhi Police handed over the investigation of the Lal Qila violence case to the Crime Branch. 

Deep Sidhu was arrested by the police from Karnal bypass at 10.40 pm on Monday, 15 days after the violence, and informed of the arrest on Tuesday morning. Two days ago, the second major accused in the case, Iqbal Singh, was arrested from Hoshiarpur. On February 3, the Delhi Police had announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh each on Deep Sidhu, Jugraj Singh, Gurjot Singh, and Gurjant Singh and 50-50 thousand on Jagbir Singh, Buta Singh, Sukhdev Singh, and Iqbal Singh. Iqbal Singh is Granthi.

Sidhu is accused of instigating miscreants in the Red Fort. The miscreants had placed a religious flag on the ramparts of the fort and also committed violence.

Police say Sidhu had not been seen since the January 26 incident. However, his videos continued to come. A video of him came out recently. When the police investigated, it was found that the accused is using his girlfriend and her mobile phone to post the video. His Facebook ID was unlocked in many mobile phones. It was revealed that he made a video and sent it to his girlfriend in California from WhatsApp and then posted it from his girlfriend's mobile.
