During a flag march on Wednesday in the violence-hit areas of Seelampur (northeast Delhi) Delhi Police warned and said, "Ek mahine ke liye Section 144 laga di gai hai, yahan koi bhi vyakti nazar na aaye. Abhi tumhe pyar se bataya jaa raha hai, phir sakhti se bataya jayega. Dukane bandh kardo yahan."
As per reports, a total of 21 have died while over 200 people have been injured in the clashes across different parts of northeast Delhi, such as Chand Bagh, Bhajanpura, Gokulpuri, Maujpur and Jaffrabad. Several localities like Chand Bagh, Bhajanpura, Gokulpuri, Maujpur, Kardampuri and Jaffrabad saw pitched battles between the members of two groups who also hurled petrol bombs and opened fire.
