Disha Ravi gets bail from Patiala House Court in Greta Thunberg toolkit case

The orders were reserved on February 20 by Additional Sessions Judge.

Disha Ravi, a 22 year old climate activist has been granted bail by Patiala House Court in the toolkit case pertaining to the support of farmers' protest in India.

She was picked up from her home in Bengaluru on February 13. According to Live Law, The Court granted her bail on condition to furnish two sureties of Rupees One Lakh each."

The orders were reserved on February 20 by Additional Sessions Judge. Today the order has been passed and Disha got bail.

Disha was also produced before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) because her police custody period will expire today. Pankaj Sharma the ACMM disposed of the application seeking 4 days police custody.

Disha Ravi was also interrogated earlier today along with Shantany Muluck in the same case at Cyber Cell office of Delhi Police. Disha Ravi, a 22 year old climate activist who is also a part of Fridays for future was arrested on February 13 from her residence in Bangaluru in a case related to Greta Thunberg Toolkit case. The toolkit was shared by Greta Thunberg, a Swedish climate activist on Twitter. She later deleted it and again uploaded the updated version of the toolkit after she extended her support to the farmers' protest in India.

Advocate Siddhart Agarwal who appeared for Disha Ravi submitted that a toolkit was a mere document to organize peaceful protest. He also submitted, "If the offence is that, I protested peacefully, I'm guilty! if the offence is that I advertised about the peaceful protest, I'm guilty! If this is the parameter, I'm definitely guilty."
